empower all members of your Community!
and consider an old proverb:
"The best place to find a helping hand
is often times at the end of your arm"
Unfortunately, most rural towns and communities are not interested in "ideas"... most seem to want a "ready-made-business" that just needs a new home!.. good luck with that! You will only be competing with literally hundreds, if not thousands of small communities across the country. We all want instant success.
Perhaps Towns and Small Communities should consider "burning a few brain cells" and invest some time in a long term plan, and envision something that will start businesses and create jobs for the future. This is the basis for a Big Ideas Club.
Ideas Gallery for Products to Manufacture / Process / Produce
It should be noted that when it comes to a small Community's Economic Development, success will be more likely realized when considering Manufacturing and Production businesses that provide employment for a great number of area residents and their families. Not to overlook or by-pass retail, but the future favors internet and cyber sources for our everyday needs, except perhaps grocery outlets and local services. Even then, depending on the metro area of your community, even these personal needs may be effected for your community. Today's vehicles and roadways are significantly better than even a few years ago, and can make it very convenient for small community residents to "run to the city" for groceries and services.
The following gallery focuses primarily on manufacturing and production ideas and businesses... just a place to start.
