Depot Parking Lot Project
1.      All trees and Stumps to be removed - Southwest corner – tree removal (some on City property –
Large tree north side of property (DJR property) - trimmed or removed?
2.      Large rocks removal
3.       West side drainage ditch – City? (… should be clear to allow natural drainage to Highway 48)
4.       South side drainage ditch with small berm (with RR ties?) as south boundary. (may be considered: bury a seepage drain sleeved perf-pipe to southwest corner, or just a shallow ditch filled with gravel??)
5.      Railroad ties – north side & south side boundaries (to control/manage gravel for easier maintenance, and on south side to control rain run-off)
6.      Railroad ties – east side and west side (to control/manage gravel – easier maintenance)
7.       Vehicle Entry/Exit on northwest corner of lot – (gravel entry to street)
8.       Vehicle Entry/Exit on east end of lot - (gravel entry to street/pavement)
9.      To be considered - Southeast corner of lot – pole/yard light
10.  To be considered - Southeast corner – railroad ties (?) stairs to Depot facilities
Opinion:
- Dirt work to shape lot according to best drainage and layout –
- no need for any dirt removal
- dirt cut from east entry should be merged into lot

Has the City (department) been contacted for permit to use residential lot for parking lot?
permit to do extensive dirt work?
